When my cousin broke his engagement with his fiancé, we thought it’s just a simple thing of live and let live, forgive and forget. Aside from the last 82nd Academy Awards, I can’t think of any sizzling celeb news nowadays. Oh, there’s the hype of Alice in Wonderland. I can say that all the artists really gave life to the characters in the book. I love the Red Queen/Queen of Hearts the most. She kept me in stitches whenever she says her very famous line “Off with your head” and every single command is too endearing. I love the fat boys as well, just like her, Anne Hathaway may have overacted a little but I think its part of the script. Alice perfectly fits the role by herself, ousting Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan who also auditioned for the same role. And there’s Johnny Depp, I love him but this time I’m not stunned anymore, his brilliance has been expected. No one else can do what he’s doing, finish.

Now let’s go back to the Oscars and let me give my humblest review on the biggest celebrity and movie award giving body on earth.

The whole ceremony was a blast, the hosts are just dazzling with humor, and some words can be controversial though. These guys are simply one of the best in the industry and they have been hanging around for decades so they know exactly what they’re doing.

From among the presenters, I enjoyed watching Tina Fey and Robert Downey Jr. mainly. Their humor is just amazing. The tribute given to the best actor/actress nominees were also heartwarming. Just by listening to every single word from them can make surely make a nominee a million dollar buck; too much pride for a nomination and enough honor even if they don’t bring home the award. Sandra Bullock, bagged the best actress award, same thing goes for Jeff Bridges who finally made it after five nominations. The former wife of James Cameron got the Best Director Award and The Hurt Locker made it as the best picture this year, beating the world record movie ever, Avatar. I have nothing to contest about it, Avatar may have made it big to the big screen but the latter made it to the heart of the Academy. There may be small glitches but everything just went fine.

Finally, what people and I love most about the event is the fashion. It’s the night of the glittering diamonds, the dazzling gowns, endless pictures and projections, the fashion police etc. I would love to write them all but I guess you can make the judgment by yourself.
